If you've got piles of junk cluttering up your home office, storage shed or garage, here's a nudge to get some of it cleaned up. Dispose of your used household chemicals, electronic waste, paper for shredding (up to 3 boxes), glass jars and more at a free household hazardous waste collection this Saturday morning.

Drop off will take place from 8 a.m to noon at Hi Corbett Field, 700 S. Randolph Way.

Electronic waste can include household appliances, computer monitors, televisions, lamps, electric toys, and household tools. These items will be accepted at no cost. Residents who are not able to make it Saturday can also drop items off at the Los Reales Sustainability Campus on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location's address is 5300 E. Los Reales Road.

Residents of Oro Valley, Sahuarita, Marana, and unincorporated Pima County can drop off their HHW for $10. Tucson city residents should note unknown chemicals will not be accepted. Neither is medical waste such as sharps, syringes or old medications. Residents shouldn't bring commercial waste, explosives, dried paint, CRT monitors, or ammunition disposale.

The household hazardous waste collection events are hosted by the City of Tucson's Environmental and General Services Departments on the second Saturday of each month. For more information, visit www.tucsonaz.gov/hhw, or call Environmental Services at 791-3171.
